Iran achieved an honorable 6th place among 11 teams. As predicted by Iran coach
Mehdi HassanAli in an interview before the games with the Federation of sports associations, Iran Rugby team must perform well on the first day and gain the 1st place in its pool in order to avoid a strong Philippines team on the second day. As it is in sport, however Iran qualified for the second place at the end of the first day, and met Philippines head on the second day.
